In this workshop, we will learn to troubleshoot our own single hoop sequences, and how to break down the movements of others in a way that is useful in our own dance. We will build our practice from the ground up to find that beautiful, comfortable place where we let go and flow. First, we will go through each core body move and break down exactly why the hoop is moving the way it does (from the tips of our noses, all the way down to our toes!). Then, we will discuss the basics of butter-smooth isolations and energy-efficient ways to react and manipulate your prop for smooth dancing.
